Extraordinary Life

A tree grows sideways out of a rock face, a flower emerges through pavement, and a turtle navigates an ocean back to its birthplace. Nature’s miracles abound, and we may witness them with awe. But often less visible to us is that we too are nature, and that this same brilliance and intelligence also runs through us.

The brilliance of nature heals our cuts and beats our hearts, which is in itself miraculous. But our self-help paradigm usually fails to take into account that this same brilliance also mends our minds and emotions. And when it isn’t crystal clear how this works, we actually do things that get in nature’s way, slowing down our innate recovery from difficulties or pain, prolonging personal or global conflict, or making dependable presence, resilience or joy seem out of reach.

Understanding Nature’s Mind, and how it runs through the human experience, we realize how powerfully trustworthy it is. Our lives become more flowing and present, and our experience more grounded and buoyant.

This "natural psychology" has been taught, with awe inspiring results, for over forty years in populations as diverse as prisons, schools and Fortune 500 companies, and has lifted people in every nature of circumstance from:

Anxiety
Depression
And seemingly intractable problems

To:

Peace of mind
Wellbeing
And remarkable resolutions

Aligning with our innate wellbeing and understanding the logic of how the human experience naturally works uncover our own awe-some potential. It is well within the power of nature to lead every one of us from challenged to extraordinary lives; to lives of flow, lives of presence, and lives of love.

Who is this course for?

Anyone helping others and wanting to increase his/her impact
Anyone wanting to overcome past difficulties and uncover more wellbeing and joy
Professionals wanting less stress and more peace of mind regardless of their workload
Artists, musicians and creatives wanting greater access to a flow state of mind
Anyone wanting to live an extraordinary life in an ordinary way

Internationally renowned facilitator and speaker, Rudi Kennard of the U.K., will be coming to Martha's Vineyard especially to co-facilitate this special event with Sharon Strimling of Sharon Strimling Coaching and Consulting.

REST & RESTORE: This understanding is purposefully shared in an environment of leisure and relaxation. We will bask in the beauty and energy of Martha's Vineyard from a beautiful Chilmark living room with field and ocean views with fresh, organic food, island walks, a sound bath and lots of time for reflection, enjoying the island, sharing meals and resting. You will learn much, but your time at the retreat and your take-away will be both transformative and restorative..

FOOD: We will be serving delicious, organic snacks and boxed lunches by the Island's own Not Your Sugar Mamas. Known and revered all over the Island for their chocolate and their mainly plant-based homemade food, they are a real treat, and we're lucky to be partnering with them.

VENUE: The venue for our 'Extraordinary Life' April retreat is extremely special. Peaked Hill is the highest point on the island. There are sheep filled pastures, and it offers an ideal vantage over the South Shore fields down to the ocean. The Land Bank offers adjacent walking trails as well. Come restore and relax and laugh with others like yourselves, as Sharon and Rudi provide an unforgettable platform for change and growth.

Facilitating with Sharon is amazing, she has a way of drawing out a clarity and depth from others and responds so beautifully with what wisdom is showing up through her in the moment. She radiates a loving presence and is truly committed to being of service to others.
— Rudi Kennard, internationally renowned speaker and trainer in the 3 Principles.

Facilitators:

Rudi Kennard: Rudi Kennard is an internationally renowned speaker, facilitator, and trainer based in the UK. After spontaneously experiencing a profound shift in consciousness 22 years ago, he trained extensively in NLP (neuro-linguistic programming) and hypnotherapy, Chi Gong and mindfulness meditation to help others have the experience he had. Fourteen years ago he came across the three principles, and trained with the originator Sydney Banks and its pioneer Dr. Roger Mills. Rudi then spent over three years volunteering full time to create  the www.3principlesmovies.com website as a free resource for the world. He now trains facilitators in the understanding internationally, and has written for magazines, spoken on the radio, and trained individuals in the fields of addiction, business, and education. He has worked with inmates in prisons and jails, and, recently, with earthquake survivors in Nepal. Rudi is currently writing a book, and filming a worldwide cinematic documentary, on the three principles paradigm. You can learn more about Rudi and his work at www.innatevolution.com

Sharon Strimling: Sharon Strimling has spent 25 years running businesses in the health and wellness industry, from therapeutic massage and fitness to integrative nutrition, coaching, and yoga.  All of her work, no matter the modality, has been imbued with an understanding of the mind she feels profoundly thankful to have come across in the 1990s. She attributes much of her own and her clients’ success in lasting wellness to this foundational knowledge that guides her work. Sharon now dedicates herself full time to mentoring and training people in this understanding, so that they, too, can experience widespread, meaningful, and lasting results. Sharon and her team at Sharon Strimling Coaching and Consulting are deeply grateful to be part of a global shift in human understanding that is empowering people to live better everywhere.

Concierge/Walking Guide Ann Graham: Ann Graham, a life long visitor to the island, lived on Martha's Vineyard for 28 years, reveling in her nature walks around the island. Ann recently moved to Manchester, Vermont where she is discovering new trails in new territory.

Sound bath/Walking Guide Valerie Sonnenthal: Valerie Sonnenthal owns Peaked Hill Studio on Martha's Vineyard, and is a regular contributor to the MV Times. She lives with her husband and 2 dogs, loves to cook, swim, beach walks and never stops learning.

About Martha’s Vineyard – Past and Present
For centuries Martha’s Vineyard has enchanted those who arrived on its shores with its pristine beaches and hauntingly beautiful meadows, woodlands and landscapes.  Named for the youngest daughter of Bartholomew Gosnold and the wild grapes growing in profusion, Martha’s Vineyard was once known as a whaling port and farming community. It has since become home to 15,000 year round residents and a destination for more than 7 times as many summer visitors.

A Place of Respite and Relaxation
Though over the years Martha’s Vineyard has earned a reputation as a retreat for presidents and the rich and famous, at heart what draws visitors to return again and again is the lure of peace, privacy, and the atmosphere of a place apart where pleasures of a simpler time can be recaptured. Only seven short miles from the mainland but with a marked absence of highways, malls and city stress, Martha’s Vineyard continues to draw many to its shores to enjoy the beaches that ring its perimeter, historic sites, arts and cultural events, great dining and shopping and the comforts of its inns, resorts and rental homes.
